• Benefits of Lawn Aeration

Lawn aeration is recommended to be done yearly in compacted or clay type soils.  This is especially true if your yard has a lot of foot traffic.  We offer two lawn aeration methods; liquid aeration and core aeration. With both aeration types we do recommend pairing it with one of our other services such as Fertilization or Top Dressing.

    Benefits of Core Lawn Aeration

    • loosen up thatch.
    • increase oxygen to the roots.
    • reduce soil compaction
    • allow water and nutrients to penetrate deeper into the soil.
    • Best paired with fertilizer or top dressing.

    Benefits of Liquid Lawn Aeration

    • Liquid aeration creates fractures within the soil allowing for deeper penetration of water; roots will in turn follow, making nutrients available that were previously unreachable by the plant.
    • Liquid aeration can be done anytime during the growing season.
    • Liquid aeration covers the entire lawn.
    • There is no need to mark sprinkler heads, invisible fences or cable lines.

Core and Liquid Aeration has the same goal when it comes to aerating a lawn.  The goals are to get more oxygen, water and nutrients into the root zone. Improving the aeration within the soil is especially beneficial to lawns that are growing in clay or compacted soils.

  • Top Dressing

  • A combination of sand and compost top dressing is used to help with leveling lawns in addition to providing organic matter to help improve the soil ecosystem.
